      How to Create a Training with an Embed Code

      In this guide, we'll show you how to create a training using an embed code, allowing you to easily share videos, documents, and interactive content.

      What is an Embed Code?

      An embed code is a small piece of HTML code that you can copy and paste into your platform or website to display content such as videos, slides, documents, or interactive elements. By using an embed code, you can integrate external content directly into your training modules without needing to upload large files.

      Step-by-Step Guide:

      1. How to Create a Training with an Embed Code

      Follow these steps to add an embed code to your training:

      1. Log in to your account and go to the Author section.

      2. Navigate to Resources:

        • In the "Author" menu, click on Resources.

      3. Upload an Embed Code:

        • Click on the Upload button. On the upload page, you will see a button labeled Add Embed. Click on it.

      4. Add Your Embed Code:

        • After clicking Add Embed, you’ll be redirected to a page where you can paste your embed code into the provided field.
        • There will also be a field labeled Name. Enter a descriptive name for your embed (e.g., "Training Video - Module 1"). This will help you easily find the embed when creating your training.

      5. Save the Embed Code:

        • Once you’ve pasted the embed code and named it, click Save. The embed code will now be saved and ready to use when you create a new training session.



      2. Use the Embedded Content in a Training

      When creating a new training module, you will now be able to select your embedded resource from the list and link it directly to your training content.

      3. Generate an Embed Code

      To integrate an external resource, you first need an embed code. This is usually provided by the service you are using, such as OneDrive, Google Slides, YouTube, or Vimeo.

      Generating an Embed Code from OneDrive:

      1. Upload your file to OneDrive.

      2. Open the file and click on File > Share > Embed this presentation > Generate.

      3. Copy the provided embed code.

      Generating an Embed Code from Google Slides:

      1. Open your Google Slides presentation.

      2. Click File > Publish to the web > Embed.

      3. Adjust the settings as needed and copy the generated embed code.

      Common Issues and Solutions

      • The embed code does not display correctly.

        • Ensure that you copy the entire code snippet.

      • The video or presentation does not load?

        • Check if the source (e.g., OneDrive or Google Slides) is set to public sharing.
