Yes! All our courses are fully compliant with the relevant regulations. Primarily EASA Regulations, but also IATA and ICAO.
A few common questions we get asked are:
"Please, can you send us your EASA approval?"
"Are your certificates approved by our CAA?"
"Is the X Course EASA Approved?"
Even though we'd love to say YES, we can't, nor obtain such approval. The reason is, that we can't get approved for what we do.
So what does Scandlearn do, aren't we an ATO? No, if you boil it down, Scandlearn is a SaaS (software-as-a-service), in layman's terms, we are the "Netflix" for the aviation industry.
According to EASA, an operator can sub-contract their training services to a third-party provider, however, it's always the operator's responsibility to ensure that the training complies with the relevant regulations. Thus the customer is the one that holds the approval from their local Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), not Scandlearn.
The CAA approves the customer to use our courses, so in this sense, YES, we are approved. The problem is; We don't hold the approval.
Quick Summary
- Our courseware is fully EASA, IATA, and ICAO compliant
- The Customer holds the approval from their CAA, NOT Scandlearn
- Scandlearn is approved for over 700 customers in over 94 countries (2022), so the odds are in your favor ;)
