[Knowledge Articles](https://help.scandlearn.com/administrators?hsLang=en#knowledge-articles) # How to Set Up Recurring Annual Training with Notifications and Automated Session Creation **Course: Threat and Error Management (TEM)** *Location: Course Settings * --- ### 🛠 Step-by-Step Setup #### 1. **Choose Training Type** - **Continuous** should be selected (instead of One-time) if you want the course to automatically repeat with an expiry logic. - This allows you to define a training validity period and automate session renewal. --- #### 2. **Set Course Availability** - **Available: Now** – makes the course instantly available. - **Custom** – allows you to set a specific start and end date for when the course is visible to learners. > ℹ️ Once a course is no longer available, it will disappear from the learner's dashboard. --- #### 3. **Configure Expiry & Session Logic** | Setting | Description | | --- | --- | | **Expires in** | Set how long the course remains valid after completion. (e.g., 24 months) | | **Completion Rule** | Choose **"Last day in current month"** for expiry to fall on that month’s last calendar day. | | **Create New Session** | Define how many days before expiry a new session should be generated.
